At Rimoto Stream we have taken the guesswork out of streaming while putting the interactivity and quality that fans expect back in the mix.

Problem

During the pandemic the electronic music event scene was halted forcing DJs and producers to perform from their bedrooms and studios instead of the clubs and festivals they have been used to for decades.


  • DJs are unable to provide music & a robust, curated interactive audio and visual experience
  • Streaming is extremely complicated and can be expensive if not done correctly
  • ‍Most DJs are not visual designers
  • Typical DJ streaming is not interactive, it's a one-way experience for the user

Solution

Interactive User:

‍

Defined as a user who not only wants to watch a live stream, but also participate by controlling the on-screen visuals the DJ is streaming live. This is accomplished via an interactive “VJ” style mixer that allows the user to manipulate custom curated visuals overlaid on the DJ’s provided video stream.

Streaming User:

Not every user wants to participate with the live stream. A more passive option is to view a professionally produced Live Video Stream available on FacebookLive, Twitch, or any platform the client chooses.


  • A-List VJ produced stream that users will recognize and want to be associated with
  • ‍HLS stream with 9 levels of resolution for any connection speed parsed automatically
  • ‍Link to the Interactive Mixer to entice ‘streaming only’ users to control the visuals themselves
  • ‍Social sharing features built in
  • ‍A-List DJ providing the video content and music selection

Results

Rimoto Stream has been beta tested, is fully functional and client ready.

‍

After a series of beta tests by several distinct personas we have iterated the design based on feedback from testing. We are currently demoing the platform to prospective clients as well as investors to scale up the content and functionality as needed. Customization of the product can also be easily made based on specific client needs.


  • Rimoto Stream is fully functional with version 2 already in the works
  • Ongoing dialogue with several A-List DJ’s as clients
  • Currently pitching to several booking agents, management, and venues across the globe
  • With AWS integration Rimoto Stream is fully scalable and ready for high traffic use cases
  • Utilizing AWS built-in advertising options, immediate monetization available upon client requests
